ION, ORCHARD - Shopping in Singapore A Blogger's Review The Orchard Road MRT station was really very crowded and it was my first time entering into the Glamour Zone. I was just so excited about Orchard Rd, especially ION @ Orchard, the main reason I went there. I wanted to see how beautiful the building is. Look at the LED bar. Pretty isn’t it? The MRT station is just right below ION and the first thing I saw on the way up the escalator was the ION! It’s so cool, with all the lights and all those huge designer’ labels made me drool It did not feel like Singapore, perhaps Tokyo? If you are coming to Singapore, the MOST IDEAL place to stay is in Orchard Road. Staying anywhere else would just take the Glam and Glitter out of your whole Singapore trip... If you find the hotels in Orchard Road too expensive, then do what most budget conscious travelers do!
